Why do I need to pay for Nebo in each store?
We want to clarify that Apple, Google, and Microsoft are separate companies, and their respective app stores operate independently. This means that purchasing an app on the Windows Store does not grant you free access to download the same app on Android or Apple, and vice versa. Each store has its own licensing system, and these licenses are not shared across platforms. We do not have control over this as it is how the stores function.
We are the developers of the app, committed to enhancing our application through new features and improvements. However, it's important to clarify that we do not own the stores or set their rules and operations. The management of the stores falls outside our jurisdiction.
Remember: Nebo operates on a one-time purchase model per operating system. In contrast to subscription-based apps like GoodNotes, Notability, Office 365, Netflix, and others. Nebo does not involve monthly payments. This fundamental difference lies in opting for a one-time purchase per OS or a subscription model (pay per month). Today Nebo users make a single payment for our app per OS instead of recurring monthly fees. However, since app stores are managed by distinct entities, single payments does not offer free downloads across multiple operating systems.
Purchase of Nebo licence:
If I purchase Nebo on my iPad via the Apple Store, will I be able to download Nebo for free Nebo on my Mac with Apple silicon or iPhone?
Yes, if you purchase Nebo on the App Store, you can use it on any Nebo-compatible device like iPad, Mac M, or iPhone.
If I purchase Nebo on my Android tablet via the Google Play store, will I be able to download Nebo for free on my Android smartphone?
If you buy it on the Google Play Store, you can use it on any Android-compatible device such as Android tablets, smartphones, and Chromebooks.
If I purchase Nebo on my Windows tablet via the Microsoft Store, will I be able to download Nebo for free on my Windows PC?
if you buy it from the Windows Store, you can use it on any Windows-compatible device such as Surface or similar (You can install any app for up to 10 devices, you need to restore your purchase on other devices, this is for any purchased app)

As previously mentioned, each store operates independently, and licences are not transferable between them. Therefore, you will need to purchase Nebo separately for each operating system on which you intend to use the app.
Transfer of Nebo licence between operating systems:
Can I transfer my Nebo license between different operating systems? For example, if I originally purchased Nebo on Windows, am I able to transfer that license to Android or iOS, and vice versa?
As previously mentioned, each store operates independently and is not connected in any way to facilitate a license transfer. As developers, we do not have access to the records of the store to make such changes.
Your only available option is to request a refund from the store where you wish to cancel your purchase and then proceed to acquire a new license for Nebo from the store where you intend to make the new purchase.
Note: Prior to requesting a refund, please ensure that you backup your notes. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your notes.
Access your notes on different devices:
Can I access my notes on different devices using Nebo?
Yes, you can access your notes on different devices as long as you have Nebo installed on each device and you are signed into the same MyScript and cloud account. To sync your notes across devices, you can follow the instructions provided in the Sync your notes guide.
ℹ️ If you use the same ID on all your devices with the same operating system, you'll only need to buy the app once and can access it on all your devices.
