I can't see my notes after syncing with iCloud

If you cannot find some of your content:

  • while editing your notes.
  • after disconnection from iCloud while moving between Wi-Fi Networks.
  • after the sync button is refreshed.

Please do not delete the app from your device as this will render the following recovery process invalid.


The recovery process below has been implemented to avoid losing data when someone mistakenly chooses the cloud version instead of the local version after a sync conflict. To correct this, please follow the steps below:

Method 1: Via PC + iTunes

  1. Be sure that all three are up to date: 
    • Windows OS
    • Nebo app 
    • iTunes 
  2. Plug your iPad into a computer. You may have to accept the ‘trust this computer’ message and then open iTunes. 
  3. Open Nebo on your iPad and choose 'Help' at the bottom left side panel of the app. 
  4. Tap three times quickly on the Nebo icon. You won't see any effect - this is normal. 
  5. In iTunes, click on the small icon at the top left, as shown in the image below. 
  6. You should then see the following: 

Now, choose 'File sharing' > Nebo > 'downloadBackup' > Save. After saving this folder, you should be able to open it and retrieve your notes.

Method 2: Via Mac + Finder

  1. Be sure that these two are up to date: 
    • Mac OS
    • Nebo app 
  2. Plug your iPad into a Mac. You may have to accept the ‘trust this computer’ message and then open Finder
  3. Open Nebo on your iPad and choose 'Help' at the bottom left side panel of the app. 
  4. Tap three times quickly on the Nebo icon. You won't see any effect - this is normal. 
  5. In Finder, click on the iPad name in the side panel.


Now, choose 'Files' > Nebo > 'downloadBackup' > Save. After saving this folder, you should be able to open it and retrieve your notes.
