How can we help you today?

Restoring your Nebo purchase

Important note: Your purchase is linked to your individual store account (Apple ID, Google ID, or Microsoft Account ID) and is valid only within that specific store. For security and privacy reasons, we do not have access to your account details, such as email addresses or IDs—these are managed solely by the app stores. Please note, your purchase is not connected to the MyScript SSO account.

iOS (iPhone, iPad, or Mac M)

The Apple Store may not immediately recognize your prior purchase of the app, requiring you to use the "Restore Purchase" option. Rest assured, Apple will not charge you twice for the same app.

  1. Ensure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
  2. Go to the Nebo app page in the App Store and download the app.
  3. Open Nebo, follow the onboarding steps, and create a notebook.
  4. To restore your purchase, tap "Upgrade Nebo" in the sidebar and select "Restore Purchase" from the pop-up. Alternatively, go to Nebo's settings, open the "Account" section, and choose "Restore Purchase".
  5. Sign in to your MyScript and cloud accounts to restore your library or from a backup if available.

Android

Sometimes, the Google Play Store may not immediately recognize that you already own the app purchased on your Android device (Only Android Purchases). Rest assured, Google will not charge you twice for the same app.

  1. Reboot your device and relaunch the Play Store.
  2. Clear Play Store data:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage & Cache, then clear both.
  3. Re-login to your MyScript account in Nebo settings under Account.
  4. Reinstall Nebo from your Android library if on the same device. Learn more: Reinstall & re-enable apps.

If you’ve switched to a new device, please contact our support team and provide your G.P.A. number, found on your purchase invoice. We’ll investigate further.

Windows

There is no "Restore Purchase" button for Windows. To regain access, simply reinstall Nebo from your Windows app library. Learn more: Reinstall apps from Microsoft Store. then "Find Microsoft apps and games, including Xbox" section.

Cross-Platform Purchases

Purchases made on one app store cannot be restored on a different store (e.g., App Store to Google Play or Windows).

Nebo operates on a one-time purchase model per operating system (Nebo is not a subscription app). This means you pay once for the app on a specific platform (e.g., Android, iOS, or Windows).

For more details, visit: Purchasing Nebo for different operating systems.
