Update or download recognition languages

Make sure you always have the latest version of the languages you are using. You can update recognition languages or download new ones directly in the side panel.

iOS

Download a new recognition language:

1. In Settings, tap Writing > Languages.
2. Next to the language you want to download, tap .

Update a recognition language:

1. In Settings, tap Writing > Languages.
2. Languages waiting for updates have a  icon next to them.
3. Tap   to update your language.

Android

Download a new recognition language:

1. In Settings, tap Writing > Languages.
2. Next to the language you want to download, tap  .

Update a recognition language:

1. In Settings, tap Writing > Languages.
2. Languages waiting for updates have a  icon next to them.
3. Tap   to update your language.

Windows

Download a new recognition language:

1. In Settings, tap Languages.
2. Next to the language you want to download (Suggested section), double tap to start the download .

Update a recognition language:

1. In Settings, tap Languages.
2. Languages waiting for updates have a  icon next to them.
3. Tap   to update your language.

Important Notes

• Interface Language: Nebo's interface matches your device’s language and cannot be changed. See supported languages.
• Notebook Language: Once a language is set for a Notebook, Board, or Document, it cannot be changed.
• VPN & Firewalls: These may block language pack downloads. Disable them before downloading.
• Xiaomi/Poco Devices (Chinese ROMs): The default P2P download accelerationcan block access to overseas servers. To fix this:
  1. Open Download Manager settings.
  2. Disable P2P download acceleration (Xunlei download engine).
