Follow these step-by-step instructions to sync your iPad, iPhone, and Mac using iCloud.
The article is structured into three parts:
- Sync between your iPad and cloud service (Setup and Sync).
- Sync your iPhone with the cloud.
- Sync your Mac with the cloud.
Important:
- Avoid editing a note on multiple devices simultaneously to prevent sync conflicts.
- Make edits on one device and wait for the sync to complete before accessing the note on another device.
- Nebo supports syncing but not real-time collaboration, so notes can't be edited on multiple devices at the same time.
- Ensure all devices are running the same version of Nebo.
- Notes won’t be directly visible in iCloud, Dropbox, or Google Drive, but they are stored there.
- Make sure devices are charged before syncing to prevent shutdowns and data loss.
1. Setup sync on your iPad
1. Ensure your iPad is signed in with the Apple ID used to purchase Nebo and that iCloud is enabled.
4. Ensure your MyScript SSO account is set up. If not, create a free MyScript SSO account.
5. Go to Settings > Sync and select iCloud.
You can choose from iCloud, Dropbox, or Google Drive.
5. Start with Manual Sync if you have a lot of files, then switch to Automatic Sync later.
6. Tap Sync on the main screen and ensure you’re connected to the internet.
Note: Ensure you're connected to the internet and not using a VPN or firewall, as these can prevent cloud connection and hinder syncing.
You can monitor the sync process in Nebo as it counts down the folders being synced. This may take several minutes, depending on the number of files.
You can now switch to "Automatic sync" in the settings.
2. Setup sync on your iPhone.
1. Log in with the same Apple ID as your iPad.
2. Download Nebo from the App Store on your iPhone using the same Apple ID as your iPad.
- Once opened, you'll see a folder named "My notebook."
- Open the Nebo Settings app on your iPhone.
- Choose account
3. Go to Settings > Account and sign in with the same MyScript SSO account.
- Select iCloud
- Connect to your iCloud account (the same one used on your iPad) and select Automatic Sync.
Sync: Nebo is now syncing with your iCloud account.
Everything has been synced. However, remember that you created a specific collection and note when first using Nebo on your iPhone. You can delete this collection to prevent it from syncing to your iPad.
Note: Be careful to delete only that specific folder, as deleting everything could remove all your notes from the cloud.
To delete a folder or collection, swipe left, and the Edit and Delete options will appear.
All your notes will now be synced between your iPad and iPhone.

1. Install Nebo from the App Store on your Mac.
Be sure to use the same Apple ID you used on your iPad when you purchased Nebo.

- Once downloaded, open the app.
- Your app will not contain notes at first because we need to sync the content.
2. Open Nebo and go to Settings > Account
- Tap Restore Purchases to unlock the full app.
3. Sign in with your MyScript account.
- Use your Google sign-in or email and password to sign in.
This will sign our account inside Nebo
4. Go to Nebo Settings > Sync
Select iCloud.
Note: If your Mac mentions that iCloud is not set up, go to your Mac settings and click on Start using iCloud.
- Sign in to iCloud if prompted, and your Mac may request validation from your other Apple devices.
- The Mac may request that you validate the connection with your other Apple Devices.
- Your iCloud will now be connected.
4. Go to Nebo Settings > Sync and select iCloud.
- Nebo will now sync your notes with iCloud, and Auto-Sync will be activated.
Return to the Nebo main dashboard, and you will see that Nebo has started syncing your notes.
Your notes are now synced with your Mac!
