Let's get started!
Understanding Nebo's organizational structure:
Experience three (3) distinct levels of organization:
i. Collections, think of these as containers housing your folders.
ii. Folders, think of these as storage spaces: containers where you will have your different notes.
iii. Notes, explore the wide array of notes you can create that align with your unique handwriting style:
- Notebook, ideal for various activities such as note-taking, journaling, writing, drawing, or scrapbooking.
- Board, jot down your unstructured ideas, thoughts, mind mapping and brainstorming.
- Document, creating structured content. You can incorporate different types of blocks like text, diagrams, or mathematical elements.
- PDF file, Import PDF documents for annotation. Highlight text, make handwritten annotations, convert handwriting and hand-drawn shapes within PDFs
Getting started with Nebo:
A. Begin by creating a Collection: Create a new collection
B. Next, create a Folder: Create a new folder
C. Finally, define the space where you intend to handwrite your notes. This can include 4 different options (Notebook, Board, Document or Import PDF):
1. Notebook:
The Notebook functions as a collection of pages, serving as a digital notepad or writing pad. Each page comes in predefined sizes (A4, A5, A7, or US Letter), allowing you to utilize the entire page before adding more. The Notebook is ideal for various activities such as note-taking, journaling, writing, drawing, or scrapbooking, offering customizable elements like page orientation (portrait or landscape), page color, and background patterns.
To convert your text to a digital format, use the lasso tool to select text, which triggers a pop-up menu with a 'convert' option. For perfect shapes, draw while keeping the pen on the screen to see how it transforms into accurately converted shapes.
Important:
i. Math recognition is unavailable on Notebooks.
ii. Incorporate elements into your page, such as pictures or images from your device's photo library.
2. Board:
The board serves as a versatile canvas for your thoughts and ideas. Here, you can add handwritten notes, import images for annotation, and jot down your unstructured ideas, thoughts, mind mapping and brainstorming.
You can personalize your experience with a variety of page colors, and a selection of backgrounds patterns.
To convert your text to a digital format, use the lasso tool to select text, which triggers a pop-up menu with a 'convert' option. For perfect shapes, draw while keeping the pen tip on the screen to see how it transforms into accurately converted shapes.
Incorporate elements into your page, such as pictures or images from your library.
Export options include PDF, PNG, SVG, or the Nebo file format.
Important:
i. Math recognition is unavailable on a Board.
ii. If your device's RAM is low, overloading a page with images, decorations, and text can cause lags or issues. To help avoid this, create a new board page and continue your work on that page or pages.
3. Document:
On Documents, you can organize your handwritten notes by creating structured content. Here, you can incorporate different types of blocks like text, diagrams, or mathematical elements.
To convert your text into a digital format, simply double-tap on the text screen. This action transforms your handwritten notes into their digital equivalent (Text, Diagrams or Math).
When you tap on the "+", you will find options to import an image from either the camera or the photo library, along with choices to create blocks for sketching, diagrams, math, or note.
Export options include Text, PDF, Docx (requires a word processor app for viewing), email text, or Nebo file format.
Important:
i. If your device's RAM is low, overloading a page with images, decorations, and text can cause lags or issues. To help avoid this, create a new board page and continue your work on that page or pages.
Import as PDF:
Import PDF documents for annotation (Others formats such .docx or .pptx files into Nebo as PDFs). Highlight text, make handwritten annotations, convert handwriting and hand-drawn shapes within PDFs, and even utilize the keyboard for typing or dictating annotations.
Additional features include adding a white page between pages, moving pages up or down, and deleting them.
Easily navigate by tapping a link within a PDF table of contents to jump to the relevant section. Additionally, users have the option to duplicate a page within the PDF.
